Introducing Endavant FC | The Next Chapter in Elite Soccer Development
Dear Villarreal Houston Academy and JC Sports Families,
Today, we are excited to share an important announcement about the future of soccer in Northeast Houston and the next chapter of our organization's journey.
Over the years, our mission has remained the same: to develop young athletes, create opportunities, and positively impact our community through sports.
From introducing young children to sports at JC Sports Houston to developing competitive soccer players through Villarreal Houston Soccer Academy, we have continued to grow, evolve, and challenge ourselves to provide better opportunities for our athletes.
Today, we are proud to introduce the next step in that vision.
Introducing ENDAVANT FC
Endavant FC will become the elite soccer division of our organization, focused on developing high-performance players and pursuing competition in MLS NEXT, with long-term pathways toward collegiate and professional soccer, including MLS NEXT Pro opportunities.
The word Endavant means "forward" in Valencian, representing our commitment to progress, growth, and constantly challenging ourselves to reach the next level.
Our goal is simple: to bring the highest levels of youth soccer development and competition to Northeast Houston.
Our Vision: MLS NEXT and Beyond
We are preparing to pursue membership in the MLS NEXT Academy Division for the 2027–2028 season.
Our vision is to establish Endavant FC as a high-performance academy that provides talented and committed players with an environment designed to prepare them for the next level.
Beyond MLS NEXT, we want to build meaningful pathways that help players pursue collegiate soccer, professional development opportunities, and potentially MLS NEXT Pro.
We understand that these opportunities must be earned, and our focus will be on building the coaching structure, development environment, and competitive standards necessary to help players pursue those goals.
What Does This Mean for Villarreal Houston and JC Sports?
Villarreal Houston Soccer Academy and JC Sports Houston are not going away.
In fact, they will continue to play an essential role in our organization's development pathway.
Our vision is to create a connected soccer development structure:
JC Sports Houston Introduction to soccer, recreational programs, and foundational skill development.
↓
Villarreal Houston Soccer Academy Grassroots development, competitive soccer, technical training, and advanced player development.
↓
Endavant FC Our elite performance division, pursuing MLS NEXT competition and preparing players for collegiate and professional pathways.
Each program will continue serving an important purpose, providing opportunities for players at different ages, stages, and levels of development.
Not every player will follow the same journey, and that is perfectly fine. Our responsibility is to provide the right environment and opportunities for each athlete to grow.
Building the Right Leadership and Environment
We believe elite player development requires much more than talented players.
It requires experienced coaches, strong leadership, mentorship, accountability, and a culture that challenges young athletes to become better every day.
Endavant FC is being developed with a dedicated soccer leadership structure, experienced coaching staff, and strategic advisors who bring knowledge from professional soccer, player development, international pathways, and community partnerships.
Our goal is not simply to build successful teams.
Our goal is to develop players who are technically prepared, tactically intelligent, mentally resilient, and ready for the challenges of higher-level soccer.
Why Northeast Houston?
We believe our community has the talent and potential to compete at the highest levels.
For too long, many families in Northeast Houston have had to travel significant distances to access elite soccer opportunities.
We want to help change that.
By continuing to invest in our community, developing local partnerships, and creating a clear pathway from grassroots to elite soccer, we hope to give more young athletes the opportunity to pursue their dreams closer to home.
Moving Forward Together
We are incredibly grateful for the trust and support our families have placed in us over the years.
Everything we are building today is possible because of the players, parents, coaches, and families who have been part of our journey.
Endavant FC represents our commitment to keep moving forward, keep raising our standards, and keep creating opportunities for the next generation.
As we move through the MLS NEXT application process, we will share more information about Endavant FC, our leadership team, future player identification opportunities, and our development plans.
