Every big dream starts small — and for Caleb Coronel, that dream began on the local soccer fields of Humble, Kingwood, and Atascocita, where his passion for the game was first ignited through JC Sports Houston and Coerver Coaching.
Today, we are proud to share that Caleb (2009) has been officially invited to join Villarreal CF Academy in Spainthrough the club’s prestigious Player Development Program (PDP) — a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to live, train, and compete in one of Europe’s top youth academies. ⚽🇪🇸
This achievement marks a historic milestone:👉 Caleb becomes the first JC Sports Houston and Coerver Coaching Houston athlete to join an international academy program.
⚽ From Local Fields to Global Dreams
Caleb’s journey is a powerful example of how dedication, family support, and the right developmental environment can shape a player’s future. His soccer story began at JC Sports Houston, where he trained in small-group programs focused on technical skills, game understanding, and developing a love for the sport.
He later joined the Coerver Coaching Houston program, known for its world-renowned player development methodology emphasizing individual skill, creativity, and confidence on the ball. Through Coerver, Caleb honed his technical foundation and began setting his sights on the global stage.
After years of hard work, Caleb joined Villarreal Houston Academy, where his growth accelerated under the structure of the Spanish club’s methodology. Competing in the Villarreal Academy Cup and the Villarreal Academy Yellow Cup International tournaments in Spain, he caught the attention of two separate Villarreal CF coaches — each independently inviting him to join their academy system.

Caleb’s story doesn’t stop there. Along his journey, he has trained in:
England, through the Excel Sports Nike ID Camps
Mexico, during preseason with Mineros de Zacatecas
Argentina, learning under South American training styles
Germany, where he trained at the Adidas Headquarters during the Coerver Coaching 40-Year Anniversary
This global exposure has shaped Caleb into a well-rounded, adaptable, and technically gifted player — ready to take on the challenges of European football.
